YEARLY EVENTS AND OUTREACHES

Eggstravaganza – Each year we host a free egg hunt for our community in a local park in Rock Island. There are inflatables, free food, games, prizes, and thousands of eggs filled with candy. Throughout the event we invite everyone we can to come celebrate the resurrection of Jesus with us on Sunday morning.

Backyard BBQ – Each August we partner with Hap’s Cruisin’ into Sunset to host a free community cookout on our church property. There is a rib competition, car show, inflatables, food, and music. We use this as an opportunity to bless our neighbors and to show the love of Jesus to everyone who participates.

Light the Night – This is our alternative to Halloween and it is also completely free to the community. There’s inflatables, games, face painting, giveaways, great food, and live entertainment. Families are welcome to dress up to come to a fun and safe environment where they will hear over and over that Jesus loves them.

Invite a Friend (Jesus Loves You) – Jesus is the answer. There is no better way for us to make God known than by sharing with others what he has done in our lives. The next step is to invite them to come encounter Him for themselves. There is no better church to invite people to than the one you attend. We encourage you to invite your friends, family, coworkers and neighbors to join you at Word of Life Church to experience the power and love of Jesus.
